4 Important Aspects of Growing Employees to Success

Posted on August 6, 2014 by dcadmin

Goals Jzcreationsz, freedigitalphotos.netAs the Millennial Generation grows in business success and careers, each individual seeking a wide variety of opportunity and success; leadership here in Michigan needs to offer excellence in coaching and guidance. Great advice in a timely situation can change someone’s career forever. Regardless of age or experience, we all can recall an instance when we have been pulled aside and been given advice that changed us for the better. Management that believes in its employees, gives value to each and every one, and creates improved capability, is the style of leadership every organization needs in Michigan to survive. Metro Detroit has as much talent as any area of the country, and the leaders that bring out the best in everyone, bring the success as well.

Great leaders can indeed put inexperienced yet talented employees on the path for increased achievement. It is an important role to play as we all head more deeply into 2014.

Dale Carnegie Training offers four important aspects of growing employees to success:

  • Be there: Proactivity blends with constructive conversations in the times when employees struggle with daily responsibilities.
  • Support in every way: Always assess strengths, talents, and interests. Moving employees in the right spots makes for renewed energy and focus. Best fits usually mean best results.
  • Accept constructive criticism: There is power in leadership growth as well. Listen and learn from the talent around the organization.
  • Stay in touch: Leaders need an open door policy, an e-mail, and a cell phone that is connected to everyone for the sole purpose of increasing communication.

The younger generations want the attention of leadership in positive ways and the willingness to encourage deeper thinking, ideas, and change.

Ask questions. Get answers. Use the information to make the business better and more focused for everyone involved. The key ingredient is building both talent and opportunity. It makes our Southeast Michigan businesses better and stronger.

Dale Carnegie’s Leadership Training for Managers brings this article’s purpose to reality with classes in August, September and October. Check our calendar for the August 19th session in Novi.
