Session Five: Unleashing your full potential
What is the difference between someone making a million dollars and someone that is barely scraping by financially? They both have a beating heart. They both have a working brain. They both have a family. They both have purpose. And they both have POTENTIAL. It is just that the one who makes that conscious decision to tap into their potential that develops into a millionaire.
How many of us have tried with our best ability, as much as we can, to achieve a goal… ONLY to find that we weren’t ACTUALLY giving it our all? Our best? We were giving what we thought was our best, but we weren’t giving what we actually are capable of giving. Maybe it was preparing physically to run a marathon. You trained and trained and trained, enough where you thought it was enough, only to find that your body was capable of training and developing so much more? All it would have taken is that extra effort.
What would happen if we really unleashed our full potential? Really let go of our control? Imagine how much further along in our goals we would be.
Session five was and is, in my opinion, one of the more intense and active sessions. It involves a lot of movement; it has the opportunity to be very extreme. The purpose of the session is to “crash through.” People often hold back in life; whether it is speaking up, making decisions, etc. During the session, participants are asked to find something that they are either so passionate about that they can’t wait to share it with the world and get others on board OR to find something that makes them so angry that their conviction behind their topic will change the views of those who are around to hear them speak. The purpose is to prove that you can, in fact, speak out about something without holding back.
The session involved putting action to your thoughts and words; hence, UNLEASHING and giving free rein to your full potential. Your full potential meaning, your everything, all of your strength, all of your might, everything that you have built up within. This session involves stepping outside of your comfort zone. And that’s good, right? Stepping outside of your comfort zone is where breakthroughs are made.
Session five is, in fact, one of the more memorable sessions. We all hold back from time to time, whether it be in our personal lives or whether it be in our professional lives. The only way we are going to go where we really want to go in life is if we REALLY give free rein to our full capabilities.
Next week I will blog about session six and seven, both being super fun, yet surprising sessions. Stay tuned!
