Dale Carnegie of Michigan is hosting two three-day seminars for leadership development training, one in late February and one in late March, for those looking to improve their management and leadership skills.
The course, Leadership Training for Managers, will teach the difference between a manager and a leader; managers often mandate change, but today’s leaders are also willing to adapt and improve their team. According to the event web site:
Employees are not told what to do anymore. Now, you influence their choices and assist them in reaching their goals. You do not direct; you win the team over to your point of view. You do not dictate; you inspire! You can learn how to convey this inspiration by focusing on your leadership skills development. Leadership development is needed to successfully take charge of your team in today’s business world.
The seminar is for anyone who works with customers, project team leaders, employees who work as part of a team, or managers who want to improve their skills. The course will cover creating a vision, developing strategies, taking risks, influencing people, empowering others, and more.
The program is usually held in a seven-week program, but these sessions are for managers who can’t take the time over three days.
Both three-day seminars are held in Novi and go from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 23, 24 and 25 is Wed.-Fri, and March 29, 30 and 31 is Tues.-Thurs. Both are $1,695.
