Talk about longevity: Wesley Berry Flowers is celebrating 65 years of business and is a shining example of a true Michigan success story.

The company was founded in 1946 by Florence and Wesley Berry, and has grown from a small mom-and-pop into a multi-million dollar operation, according to The Oakland Press.

The company has five locations that serve all of Southeast Michigan and an online floral business that caters to clients nationwide. Wesley Berry has its own fleet of vans and use FedEx and UPS trucks for the national deliveries.

The corporate office and flagship store is located at 2985 Haggerty Road in Commerce Township.

“The new facility is more than 10,000 square feet and has a 1,000-square-foot walk-in cooler where customers are able to experience over 150,000 blooms on any given day.  It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest computer technology.”

The other locations include:

  • 6677 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield Township
  • 42531 Ford Road, Canton
  • 150 W. Congress, Detroit
  • 15305 Schoolcraft, Detroit

What’s the key to success? “Our commitment to community service is our real key to success,” Wes told the newspaper.
